Gardening is a wonderful hobby that children love to help out with - they love getting their little hands in the dirt, touching the plant's leaves, and most of all they enjoy spending the time with you! If you have an idea for an activity that you'd like to see listed here, let us know! You'll get full credit for submitting it to us. Don't forget to visit Places to Go with Children!

- Plant seeds and watch the plant's growth each day.
- Replant small vegetable & fruit plants; watch them grow; then pick them to eat!
- Learn how different kinds of plants sprout different kinds of roots.
- Teach your child the different parts of a flower - flower, stem, leaves, roots.
- Play Mix and Match - get a few different vegetable and fruit seeds and let your child guess which plant it will grow into (show them pictures of the grown plants).
