Sports are a great way to keep children happy, active, and in shape! We've listed some ideas that are popular among children - if your child doesn't enjoy one, try another! Swimming: Children should know how to swim, especially living in Florida. Slowly introduce the water to them so they won't be afraid.
Tennis: This game can be played with two, three, or four players. They don't need to know how to keep score, but they will learn cooperation, how to take turns, and have fun!
Basketball: There is something magic about a child throwing a ball and having it fall through a hole ;-). Since there are many sizes of hoops, children of all ages will enjoy playing this timeless game.
Volleyball: This game is a little harder than basketball - children have to hit the ball over a net, which is usually high. A similar game can be played over a tennis net while your children are still young.
Jumping Rope: This activity is not strictly for girls - boys enjoy jumping rope too! Besides being a lot of fun, it's great exercise!
Baseball: Older children will enjoy this great sport that teaches team cooperation besides coordination.

Bicycle Riding: Children of all ages (including adults) will enjoy riding bicycles, admiring the scenery (provided you're bicycling with a nice view), and getting lots of exercise!
Skating: Whether your child uses skates, or likes the newer roller blades, they will enjoy going out into the fresh air and getting some exercise!
