Mr. Belvedere, adopted :) by Toby Aaron, a devoted volunteer at the Petmobile It was indeed, love at first sight as Tom approached the Petmobile in the Publix Shopping Center in Jupiter Farms last spring. He looked quickly at all the adoptable dogs and focused on one astonishing looking canine: an irresistible, unique dog with the front paws of a Bassett Hound, ears of a donkey, and Shepherd-like head. His unusual appearance was exaggerated by the extra toes on his front paws. Tom was immediately captivated by his lively personality and whimisical appearance; he made up his mind to adopt him! This was an extremely lucky day for the dog who was found wandering on Belvedere Road; he had been with the Petmobile for several weeks so today was his last chance of being adopted. Tom, his wife Sherre and their 23 year old son Kris have now been living with Mr.Belvedere for over a year. His friends include one cat, four Pugs, one Bull Dog, and Spanky (also a Petmobile dog). Mr.Belvedere's amiable personality and extremely good nature allow him to fit right into this diversified family. Moreover, he hunts anything that moves and then shows Tom & Sherre his heroic accomplishment with his "come and see" bark. He just loves his yard which is 2.5 acres stocked with rats, frogs, lizards and other creatures. Mr. B. is a careful canine who can shred a coconut in a mere five minutes. He can also bite a Buffao toad, run to the pond, rinse out his mouth and never get sick. This brave hunter adores Kris, so the two of them can be found fishing together in the pond. Mr.B. will always try to eat the fish that Kris catches. Mr. B has never been mean and is truly loved by his new family. Sherre has said that "he loves dogs, people, everyone.We are glad that he is part of our family." He is an adorable eccentric with an absurd appearance. There will never be another Mr.Belvedere!
